Recount Needed in New MexicoHouse Freedom Fund — Wednesday, November 14, 2018
Conservative Yvette Herrell, our endorsed candidate for Congress in New Mexico’s 2nd district, needs your help.
The local media called the race for Yvette Herrell on Election Night after she led by 1,972 votes.
But the next morning a liberal county reported 8,000 absentee ballots that they didn’t report on Election Day. These late ballots put Herrell behind by 2,726 votes (1.4%).
It’s important to note that the final number of absentee votes reported by this county quadrupled compared to the 2014 elections, and they were not properly protected as required by state law.
Yvette Herrell will be challenging these ballots to guarantee the integrity of this election, but she needs our help to pay for it. Her campaign will have to pay the state for its review and pay election attorneys to make sure the law is followed.
We need to raise $20,000 for this effort and would greatly appreciate if you would pitch in to help.
This recount is treated as a separate election so individuals are allowed to contribute an additional $2,700 to her campaign.
Conservatives need to make sure that our elections are lawful. We can’t allow the Democrats to steal elections with voter fraud.
This race in New Mexico is very close and we need to make sure that every lawful vote is counted.
Thank you for considering this request and for doing so much to help us fight for conservative leadership in Washington.
